What do we offer?

 Spin – We offer 4 spin classes per week, at different times each day. Please come and see for yourself the class that took the world by storm and just kept growing!

Aerotone – A mix of aerobic and toning exercises to burn fat and tone the whole body

Aqua Trim – Similar to Aqua Aerobics but at a lower intensity

(Fitness) Pilates – A very gentle workout for targeting all those important areas

Circuits – A full body workout combining resistance and cardio training, suitable for all levels

Aerobics – A class designed to strengthen the body’s cardiovascular system

Legs, Bums & Tums – Conditioning class for your legs, bum + stomach

Aqua Aerobics – An intensive workout in the swimming pool

50+ Fitness Class – A low impact class, mixing resistance training and cardiovascular exercise

Fit Steps – Mix of Ballroom and Latin dance fused to create a fun, energetic and calorie busting workout

Aqua Trim – A combination of exercises similar to those you would find in the Gym. Short Fast cardio routines to raise the heart rate,  in between toning exercises.

HIIT is a form of interval training, this basically means short bursts of intense exercise (normally 25-50 secs) followed by short recovery periods. HIIT is a form of cardiovascular exercise. Usual HIIT sessions vary from 9¬20 minutes. These short, intense workouts provide improved fitness, improved glucose metabolism, and improved fat burning. With HIIT your body does not just burn fat while you are exercising but will also continue to burn fat for the rest of the day and sometimes into the next!! This is commonly referred to as EPOC (excess post-exercise oxygen consumption) and it means that you consume a great deal more oxygen recovering from the exercise bout than you would have if you had just done a steady-state workout. The EPOC effect is what makes HIIT so much more effective than normal steady-state cardio where you only burn fat while you are actually exercising. With HIIT you will be burning up to nine times more fat while sitting on the couch later that night than you would have if you had spent an hour on the treadmill at a moderate pace.

For all members with the Silver or Gold Membership Packages, all centre run fitness classes are a benefit of your membership and therefore free of charge.
